ABOUT THE ROLE

Backam Group is currently seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters for ongoing opportunities based in Silverwater, NSW.
? Location: Silverwater, NSW
? Pay Rate: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour casual
⏰ Start Time: 6:00am
? Ongoing Opportunities Available
Working within a busy industrial and manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, installation, and servicing of plant and production equipment.

Key Responsibilities

- Preventative and breakdown maintenance
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults
- Installation and commissioning of machinery and equipment
- Maintaining conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, and production machinery
- Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and specifications
- Conducting inspections and maintenance checks
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
- Assisting with shutdown and project work as required
- Maintaining a safe and efficient work setting

ABOUT YOU





You are a trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter who takes pride in quality workmanship and can work effectively within a maintenance team.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
✔️ Mechanical Fitter Trade Qualification
✔️ Previous experience within industrial, manufacturing, maintenance, or production environments
✔️ Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
✔️ Ability to interpret technical drawings and plans
✔️ Current driver's licence and reliable transport
✔️ Strong commitment to workplace safety
✔️ Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
✔️ Ability to work independently and within a team
