We are seeking to engage a highly qualified Release Train Engineer (RTE) to join our high profile government support the delivery of a complex, large-scale transformation program.

The RTE role extends beyond traditional scaled agile delivery and requires orchestration across policy, legislation, regulatory reform, business transformation and technology delivery. The role is responsible for promoting alignment, transparency and flow across multiple workstreams and releases, while ensuring business design and delivery outcomes are translated into operational and digital capabilities that support legislative and regulatory objectives.

The RTE role will work closely with the Solution Train Engineer, program leadership, delivery teams and stakeholders to manage dependencies, facilitate planning and decision-making, and maintain compliance, governance and stakeholder confidence throughout the delivery lifecycle.

The RTE provides coordination across multiple releases, multidisciplinary teams (MDTs), business workstreams, regulatory reform initiatives and supporting technology teams to ensure delivery from business design through to implementation achieves program outcomes.

The RTE promotes alignment, transparency and collaboration across teams and stakeholders, supporting effective planning,



delivery reporting and informed decision-making. The role ensures that legislative and regulatory outcomes, policy intent, operational business change and enabling technology solutions remain aligned and fit for purpose.

The RTE manages cross-stream dependencies, risks and delivery challenges, and supports the achievement of program objectives through Program Increment (PI) planning and execution. The role ensures program increments deliver measurable outcomes while maintaining compliance with legislative requirements, governance frameworks, assurance obligations and enterprise architecture standards.

Essential Criteria:

1. Demonstrated experience (7+ years) leading large-scale government transformation programs.
2. Extensive experience operating in SAFe or comparable scaled agile delivery environments.
3. Proven experience in Business Design and Systems Implementation
4. Experience working within highly regulated government environments, including government governance and assurance requirements.
5. Solid stakeholder management capabilities at executive and senior executive levels.
6. Experience facilitating Program Increment Planning and large-scale planning events.
7. Demonstrated understanding of program and portfolio management disciplines.
8. Must have an Active AGSVA Negative Vetting 1 level clearance.

Contract duration: ASAP to 30 June 2027 initially, plus up to 2 extension options up to 12 months.
