About your role

As Senior Project Officer, you will lead the planning, procurement and delivery of medium-scale capital projects across Metro South Health. This is a site-based role with the opportunity to work across hospitals and community facilities, partnering with clinical, operational, infrastructure and external stakeholders to deliver projects safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

- Lead the planning, procurement and delivery of allocated capital projects.
- Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, schedules, registers and reporting documentation.
- Coordinate project activities across multiple Metro South sites, including on-site inspections and delivery.
- Lead risk workshops, identify emerging issues and implement effective mitigation strategies.

About you

We are looking for an experienced project professional who can independently manage competing priorities and deliver capital projects in a complex health service environment.

- Demonstrated experience independently managing capital projects from planning to delivery.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, consultation and communication capabilities.
- Highly developed organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Demonstrated financial management and reporting experience within complex projects.

About the Metro South Health Assets and Infrastructure Unit

Metro South Health Assets and Infrastructure Unit (A&I;) encompasses Strategic and Operational Asset Management, Capital Project delivery and Maintenance Services. These services enable Metro South Health to continue to expand its scope and capacity of clinical services through facility capital renewals, redevelopment, maintenance activities and lease management.

A&I; undertake capital infrastructure renewal planning through to delivery and commissioning, developing prioritised business cases and delivering on the Metro South Health Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP) and Asset Management and Maintenance Plan (AMMP). Various reforms across Metro South Health have allowed Metro South Health Asset and Infrastructure Services to streamline services and establish appropriate centralised functions to achieve greater economies of scale.
