This is a rare opportunity to join a highly experienced paediatric Speech Pathology team in Perth CBD and take on a genuine Team Leader position within a clinic known for flexibility, strong retention and quality care.
The role is designed around a 4-day clinical / 1-day leadership split, giving you protected time for supervision, mentoring and team development. This can be adjusted depending on your strengths, interests and preferred working arrangement.
You’ll still maintain your own paediatric caseload, but with meaningful time set aside to support other Speech Pathologists and help shape the continued growth of the service.
Your week can typically include:
- 4 days of clinical work
- 1 dedicated day for supervision and leadership
- Flexibility to adjust the split depending on team needs and your preferences
You’ll work alongside experienced clinicians within a team with great retention, providing a stable environment where you can focus on developing people rather than constantly replacing them.
You’ll play a key role in supporting the Speech Pathology team through:
- Regular clinical supervision and mentoring
- Supporting early career clinicians
- Case discussions and clinical problem-solving
- Professional development planning
- Supporting clinician wellbeing and sustainable caseloads
- Contributing to program and service development
- Helping maintain a positive, collaborative team culture
- Providing clinical guidance while encouraging clinician autonomy
You’ll be backed by an experienced and highly versatile Director who genuinely wants the Team Leader to have input into how the Speech service develops.
You’ll continue working with a paediatric caseload that can be shaped around your clinical interests.
Areas may include:
- Early intervention
- Speech sound disorders
- Language delay
- Autism
- ADHD
- Anxiety
- Social communication differences
- School-aged language and literacy
- Global developmental delay
The clinic takes a neurodiversity-affirming and sensory-aware approach, focusing on respectful, strengths-based therapy and meaningful outcomes for children and families.
The role offers genuine flexibility across:
- Clinic-based sessions
- Community work
- Hybrid arrangements
- Telehealth
Community travel is kept manageable, generally within 20 minutes of the clinic.
Full-time is preferred for the Team Leader position, although alternative arrangements can be discussed for the right clinician.
What’s On Offer
- Salary up to $120,000 + super, depending on experience
- Additional bonus opportunities
- 5 weeks annual leave
- Birthday leave
- $1,500 Professional Development allowance
- Internal supervision and training
- Annual salary reviews
- Bonus structure linked to:
- Performance
- Team contribution
- Program development
- Business development
- Bonuses are not solely driven by KPIs
- Highly resourced paediatric clinic
- Slow and supported caseload build
- Flexible working arrangements
- Opportunity to shape your clinical caseload
- Genuine influence over the future direction of the Speech team
You’ll be joining a team that values communication, trust and flexibility, with an experienced Director who is focused on finding the right long-term cultural fit rather than simply filling a vacancy
About You:
This role will suit an experienced Speech Pathologist who enjoys developing others and wants more influence over clinical standards and team culture.
You may already be a Team Leader, or you could be a strong Senior Speech Pathologist ready to take that next step.
