Job Description
Mobius Medical is a fast-growing CRO with our home base in Sydney and global operations, managing medical device, pharmaceutical and diagnostic studies.
We are seeking a motivated, organised and inquisitive Clinical Data Associate to join our Data Management team.
The role is based in our Sydney office, with flexible working arrangements available.
The Clinical Data Associate is a junior role suited to someone who already has some exposure to clinical trials and is looking to develop deeper skills in clinical data management.
The role reports to the Technical Director and is supervised and mentored day-to-day by our experienced Clinical Data Managers, with opportunities to learn from the broader clinical team.
Daily tasks to be performed by our Clinical Data Associate will include:
preparing and maintaining data management documentation
building, testing and validating clinical trial databases
reviewing, cleaning and reconciling clinical trial data
supporting medical coding of adverse events and medications
using Excel and other tools to review, manipulate and analyse clinical data
working closely with Clinical Operations, Statistics and other internal teams
What are we looking for in our future Clinical Data Associate?
We are looking for someone with some existing exposure to clinical trial work who is keen to build a career in clinical data management.
You do not need to be an experienced Data Manager, but you should understand the basics of how clinical trials operate and be comfortable working with data and technology.
Experience
At least one (1) year of previous experience working in clinical research, clinical trials or a related workplace.
Experience in data management, clinical monitoring, study coordination, clinical operations or a similar role will be viewed favourably.
Exposure to clinical research procedures and processes, including familiarity with ICH-GCP.
Exposure to medical device studies and ISO ***** is desirable.




Familiarity with commonly used medical and clinical research terminology.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including confidence working with formulas, lookups, filters, data validation and larger datasets.
Technical Skills and Mindset
An interest in using technology to make data processes more efficient, accurate and scalable.
Coding, scripting or data-analysis skills are highly desirable.
Experience with tools or languages such as Python, SQL, VBA or similar is an advantage, but not essential.
Comfort using modern AI tools to support analysis, problem solving, documentation or workflow automation, together with good judgement about appropriate and responsible use.
Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking and a willingness to investigate and solve problems.
Collaborative working style, initiative, good time management and the ability to work independently when required.
Qualifications/Essential
A bachelor's degree in health, medical sciences, life sciences, data science or a related discipline is preferred.

Able to commute to North Sydney daily
