St Clare's Catholic Primary School is seeking an engaging and passionate educator specialising in STEM to join our wonderful school community. FTE can be negotiated between Full time (Mon - Friday) or 4 days a week (Monday to Thursday) for the successful applicant.

St Clare's Primary School is seeking a STEM teacher who is vibrant, dynamic and can inspire children to explore and enjoy a variety of learning areas as part of our specialist team. Commencement is for the **** school year. Experienced or graduate teachers are welcome to apply for this highly supported teaching position.
We are looking for someone who:
is an excellent primary classroom teacher;
is passionate about Science, Digital Technologies and STEM;
has a strong understanding of cyber safety and can explicitly teach students how to use digital technologies safely, responsibly and ethically;
can develop students' understanding of digital citizenship, including privacy, passwords, online communication, respectful online behaviour and identifying potential online risks;
can support students to critically evaluate digital content and make safe and responsible choices when using technology and online platforms;
has strong curriculum knowledge and pedagogical practice;
can design purposeful, challenging and engaging learning experiences;
has a strong understanding of how children learn scientific concepts and build knowledge;
is confident using technology as a tool for learning and creation;
is excited by robotics, coding, engineering, design and digital technologies;
can work confidently across Foundation–Year 6;
collaborates generously and effectively with colleagues;
is curious, cutting-edge and reflective;
is committed to evidence-informed teaching; and
wants to make a genuine difference to the learning and lives of children.

Our school is well resourced, including access to 3D printing technology and a fleet of robotics devices for student learning.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to make the most of these resources, developing engaging learning experiences that move beyond simplyusing technologyto teaching students how to create, design, program, innovate and solve problems with technology.
We are looking for someone who will bring energy, creativity and expertise to the development of our STEM learning environment and help us continue to grow our students' capabilities in Science and Digital Technologies.

Implementation of the MACS Flourishing Learners Vision For Instruction, Engagement & Leadership
Instructional Coaching - The school has a well developed instructional coaching approach where all teachers participate in instructional coaching sessions and are assigned a Coach to support individual professional development on evidence based practices in a safe and supportive environment
Facilitated planning on a weekly basis (A full time teacher receives one full day of planning a week - Part time staff receive a sliding scale of this approach)
Weekly Professional Learning Communities (PLC) supported by Curriculum Coaches
Opportunities for Career development ,such as Little Learners Love Literacy (P-2), PhOrMeS (3-6), Explicit Direct Instruction (EDI), Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) and Assessment
Staff wellbeing is at the core of our supportive staff culture at St Clare's
The school has a solid vision and model for instruction, engagement and leadership which is enacted by the staff with enthusiasm and is well resourced and supported by leadership
Instructional coaching includes classroom observation, modelling, feedback and team teaching opportunities
Support the schools implementation of evidence based practices in teaching and learning. The school has a vision for implementation and the rollout is timely,



supported and gradual. We are seeking further educators to enhance and lead this vision
The school has well developed whole school behaviour management practices through its implementation of Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) across the school. This includes well defined and enacted school wide routines, expectations and acknowledgements

current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching with an up to date Criminal Record check
an ability to develop and maintain respectful and caring relationships with students, families and colleagues
an understanding and demonstrated use of evidence based best practice
a capacity to use data to make informed decisions about learning and teaching
accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School is an advantage or willingness to obtain in the future

St Clare's school opened in January **** and is the third Catholic Primary School within the Parish of St James the Apostle Hoppers Crossing North.
