We are looking for casual learning support officers who embrace our Catholic identity and will enthusiastically contribute to our school and its students.
About the Role
At. St Patrick's Learning Support Officers (LSOs) work under the direct supervision of teachers and Learning Diversity Coordinator to assist students with diverse learning needs, beahvioural or physical needs.
Some of the Key Responsibilities of this role will include:
To provide a commitment to Catholic Education and to the safety, wellbeing and protection of children and young people
In class support - help studnets or small groups stay on task, comprehend instructions, and complete planned learning activities under teacher guidance.
Implementing Learning Plans - assist in applying strategies outlined in Personalised Learning Plans (PLPs)
Pastoral care - monitor student wellbeing, support positive behaviour frameworks and encourage social independence and inclusion.

Key Selection Criteria
Demonstrated commitment to Catholic Education and to the safety, wellbeing and protection of children;
Prior experience in an education setting working with children or young people is desirable;
Collegial and collaborative approach to engaging with others;
High level information communciation technology skills.
