Catholic Education Diocese of Wagga Wagga is looking for an Aboriginal School and Community Educator to undertake a Casual position to work with school communities and provide a welcoming and safe place for our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and their children, commencing ASAP.

Your Current Role
The Aboriginal School and Community Educator exists to support Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Wagga Wagga (CEDWW) and works with school communities to provide a welcoming and safe place for our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and their children.
As the schools are located in Wiradjuri/Yorta Yorta country, and in accordance with tradition, the term Aboriginal will be used to refer to both Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, parents and carers.




Aboriginal School and Community Educators will engage in opportunities which support the learning, pastoral and spiritual wellbeing of Aboriginal students, their families and community. Communication with Aboriginal families, school personnel and forming partnerships with local Aboriginal organisations and Elders is essential.

What We Can Offer
Casual Aboriginal School and Community Education in the Albury area.Primary and Secondary schools

Commencing ASAP until 18th December ****

Casual Pay rate: $***** per hour
Possibility of travel between our schools.

Essential Criteria
Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and be able to engage and connect with Aboriginal Elders and local community organisations
Supportive of the purpose, vision and values of Catholic Education
The ability to work independently, supportively and collaboratively with all community members
Effective communication skills in a variety of settings
Current NSW Drivers Licence
NSW Working with Children Check
Successful Candidate to undertake a National Criminal History Check
