The Membership Officer position at COTA NT is a varied role that combines database administration, membership support, customer service and Seniors Card administration.
The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining accurate records and providing friendly, helpful support to members, businesses and the wider community.
The COTA NT's Membership Officer is at the heart of our connection with thousands of older Territorians.
This is much more than a database administration role.
The Membership Officer helps seniors access their membership benefits, discounts, information and support.
Working closely with the CEO and Seniors Card Manager, they will be responsible for maintaining membership databases and supporting the administration of the NT Seniors Card scheme, which connects more than 35,000 seniors with hundreds of participating businesses.
This is a varied role that combines database administration, membership support, customer service and Seniors Card administration.
Key responsibilities
Processing Seniors Card and participating business applications
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date membership databases
Entering, checking and cleaning data to ensure database accuracy and integrity
Responding to enquiries from members, seniors, businesses and the community
Providing information about Seniors Card benefits and COTA NT membership
Assisting with membership renewals and liaising with the Bookkeeper regarding membership payments
Maintaining database security and supporting data archiving
Troubleshooting database issues and assisting with database improvements
Managing monthly birthday acknowledgements for members turning 80, 90 and 100
Updating records relating to deceased members
Requirements
Mature person with excellent data entry and database administration skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent telephone and customer service skills
Clear and professional verbal communication
Good listening and interpersonal skills
Robust Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
Good organisational and time-management skills
The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team
The ability to remain calm and professional when working under pressure
A genuine commitment to providing quality service to older Territorians
