About the role
Working closely with project leadership, supervisors and crews, you will provide practical, day-to-day HSE advice and support. You will help the project manage risk, strengthen safe work practices and meet legislative, client and Hicks requirements.
Key responsibilities
Provide practical WHS advice and support to project teams
Conduct site inspections, observations and risk assessments
Coach supervisors, leading hands and crews in safe work practices
Support incident investigations, including root cause analysis and human factors
Assist with audits, corrective actions and continuous improvement
Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings and individual coaching
Support compliance with WHS legislation and project requirements
Promote compliance with the Hicks Safety Management System and applicable ISO standards
Maintain accurate HSE records, reporting and administration
Build team-oriented working relationships across the project
About you
Relevant WHS qualifications
FIFO experience
Previous HSE experience in civil construction, mining or bulk earthworks
Robust working knowledge of WHS legislation and risk-management practices
Practical and collaborative approach to supporting project teams
Experience with inspections, investigations, audits and corrective actions
Solid communication, coaching and documentation skills
Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels
