Casual Chef – Café with Vietnamese Influence

We are looking for casual Chefs to join our friendly and busy café kitchen. Our menu focuses on modern café-style food with Vietnamese-inspired flavours and influences.

We are seeking reliable, enthusiastic chefs who take pride in preparing fresh, high-quality food and enjoy working in a fast-paced café environment.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook café-style breakfast, brunch, lunch, and Vietnamese-inspired dishes.
Follow recipes and maintain consistent food quality, flavour, and presentation.
Complete daily food preparation and ensure the kitchen is ready for service.
Work efficiently during busy service periods.
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness.
Monitor food quality, freshness, and portion control.
Assist with stock rotation, preparation, and minimising food wastage.
Keep the kitchen, equipment, and food preparation areas clean and organised.
Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house team.
Contribute ideas for specials, menu improvements,



and Vietnamese-inspired dishes where appropriate.

About You
Previous experience as a Chef or Cook in a café, restaurant, or commercial kitchen.
Experience with Vietnamese or Asian cuisine is an advantage, but not essential.
Good understanding of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety.
Able to work efficiently and calmly in a busy kitchen.
Reliable, punctual, and well organised.
Positive attitude and robust teamwork skills.
Passionate about valuable food and consistent presentation.
Available to work flexible schedule, including weekends, depending on the roster.
