Café Gather is seeking an experienced and reliable Casual Cook to join our team in Braddon. If you have experience preparing café food, can confidently handle prep and service, and work well both independently and within a team, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role
Casual position, approximately 20–25 hours per week.
Immediate start available.
Work location: In person at Café Gather, Braddon.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients and complete daily kitchen prep to ensure readiness for service.
Cook and plate café dishes consistently, following our menu, recipes and portion requirements.
Manage your section during service, ensuring orders are prepared accurately and efficiently.
Work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to keep service running smoothly.
Check ingredient quality, store food correctly and follow stock rotation procedures to minimise waste.
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen and follow food safety and workplace safety procedures.

About You
Previous experience cooking café food is essential.




Confident in both food preparation and service in a busy commercial kitchen.
Able to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
Organised, reliable and able to prioritise tasks during busy periods.
Strong attention to food quality, presentation and consistency.
Positive understanding of food safety and hygiene.
Available to start as soon as possible.
