A well-known inner west Sydney pub is relaunching its kitchen under a recent Head Chef, and we are looking for two Chefs de Partie to come in at the ground floor.

The concept is approachable Italian sitting alongside elevated pub classics. Wood fired pizza and share plates, a tight pasta section, fish and steaks off the grill, and the pub staples done properly. The venue is trading now and the kitchen is being renovated around the new menu, so you are coming in as it is being built rather than inheriting someone else's setup.

There is a genuine in-house approach here. Bread made on site, meat portioned in house, fresh fish battered to order.

The role
2 x Chef de Partie, full time, reporting to the Head Chef and supporting a newly promoted Sous Chef
Running your own section across a 7 day operation, lunch and dinner
Prep, section accountability and support on ordering and stock
Training and supervising kitchenhands
Holding standards on a menu built on fresh product and real technique

What we are looking for
Solid CDP experience in a quality kitchen. Italian, modern Australian, bistro or high volume pub backgrounds all work




Confidence running a section unsupervised through a busy service
Someone who can teach as well as cook. Kitchenhand development sits with this role
Wood fired oven, pasta or larder experience is a bonus, not a requirement
Full unrestricted working rights in Australia. Sponsorship is not available for this role

What is on offer
$75,000 to $80,000 plus super, depending on experience
