Position: Experienced Chef wanted for immediate start.

Part-time or fulltime for right candidate

The iconic Lexie’s on the beach cafe serves breakfast and lunch 7 days a week and Crow’s Nest restaurant, a freshly opened rooftop bar with elevated dining has sweeping ocean views. Known for our handcrafted lunches and dinners, curated wines and friendly team; we’re a popular spot for locals, travellers and private events, including wedding receptions and corporate events.

‘What you’ll be doing:’
Preparing and cooking a variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner dishes following established recipes and procedures
Ensuring all meals are presented in an appealing and appetising manner
Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen workplace
Adhering to all health, safety and food hygiene regulations
Assisting with inventory and ordering
Collaborating with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service
Assisting with menu planning and development, menu changes seasonally
Training and supervision of junior staff members.
‘What we’re looking for:’




Proven experience as a Chef or cook - minimum of 2 years
Proficient in managing kitchen operations and workflow in busy paced commercial kitchen
We value creativity in the kitchen and encourage input on specials, presentation and menu development
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and presentation
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety
Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure - we get very busy !
Suited to candidates seeking part-time work or additional hours around other commitments as well as those seeking fulltime hours.

Pay: $54,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
