South Eastern Machinery Pty Ltd T/A KDT Australia VIC is seeking an experienced Engineering Technologist – Service & Automation to join our growing service team.
This hands-on role combines advanced engineering knowledge with field service activities, supporting customers across Australia with the installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting and optimisation of CNC machinery, industrial automation systems and advanced manufacturing equipment supplied by KDT Australia.
The successful candidate will possess solid technical expertise in CNC machinery, PLC systems, automation, electrical and mechanical fault finding, machine commissioning and control systems. Working closely with customers, you will play a key role in ensuring equipment operates safely, efficiently and reliably while delivering exceptional technical support, customer service and engineering solutions.
Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years' experience in CNC machinery commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance and automation systems. Advanced level experience with automation systems is essential, while experience with PLC systems, CNC controllers, industrial automation, servo drives and CNC woodworking machinery will be highly regarded.
A Bachelor Degree in Engineering or a related field is required. This position is ideally suited to an engineering qualified who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, working independently in the field and travelling extensively throughout Australia. Field service activities are expected to comprise approximately 75–100% of working time.

Pay: $85,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
