About the role

The Hive is a growing salon business with two locations seeking both experienced Senior Stylists and a passionate 3rd year apprentice to join the team across Redland Bay and Thornlands. At the Hive, the focus is on great hair, great clients, and creating a workplace where the team genuinely enjoys coming to work.

Key responsibilities

Senior Stylists:
Deliver exceptional cutting, colouring and styling services
Work with blondes, foils, colour work and transformations
Conduct excellent consultations and communicate with clients
Work independently while being part of a team
Deliver an exceptional client experience
Build and maintain your own clientele
Continue learning and developing your skills

3rd Year Apprentice:
Learn hands-on in a busy salon setting
Develop technical skills in colour, cutting and styling services
Work within a team environment
Build confidence and skills under guidance from experienced stylists

About you

Senior Stylists:
Qualified hairdresser with solid salon experience
Strong cutting, colouring and styling skills
Confident with blondes, foils, colour work and transformations
Excellent consultation and communication skills




Professional presentation and a positive attitude
Ability to work independently while being part of a team

3rd Year Apprentice:
Currently completing 3rd year of hairdressing apprenticeship
Passionate about hairdressing
Great attitude and strong work ethic
Reliable and punctual
Takes pride in work and presentation
Keen to learn and develop technical skills
Works well within a team
Motivated to progress career
