About the role:
As the Kitchen Assistant, you will be responsible for:
Assisting with the preparation and distribution of all meals to residents
Collaborating with other kitchen staff to ensure meals are delivered on time
Ensuring the high quality of food is maintained
Managing specific dietary requirements when preparing food
Maintaining a protected and clean kitchen workspace
To be considered you will need the following:
Experience in aged care or in the hospitality industry
Knowledge of the HACCP food safety system
Certificate in commercial cookery (desirable)
Food and safety course completed (desirable)
Demonstrated knowledge of kitchen operations and management of kitchen staff
Availability to work weekends
Ability to prepare nutritious meals within set time frames
Excellent communication
