Production Operator - Packaging
Gage Roads Brewery, Palmyra WA
Aussie drinkers keep backing Aussie-owned brands, and we're the busiest we've ever been.
We're expanding our packaging team to help get beer into every pub, club and stadium in the country and we want people who take pride in getting it right, shift after shift.
This is a hands-on role at the heart of production.
You'll fill, seal, label and inspect kegs to food safety standards, keep the line running smoothly, and help catch quality issues before they become problems.
It's physical work, kegs up to 60kg in a fast-paced brewery environment with noise, heat and cold, so you'll need to be fit, safety conscious and switched on.

Starting casual on full time hours (40 hours a week), this role has a genuine pathway to permanent for the right person.
You'll rotate through a 3-week shift cycle covering day, afternoon and night shifts, and you'll be trained across the full packaging operation — filling, labelling, palletising, forklifts, quality and cleaning — with pay that grows as your skills do.
What You'll Be Doing
Operating and monitoring the kegging line for efficient filling, sealing and labelling
Inspecting kegs for cleanliness, integrity and quality
Cleaning and maintaining equipment to HACCP and food safety standards
Troubleshooting minor issues and escalating complex ones when needed
Moving and managing kegs safely, and assisting with inventory
Following health and safety protocols and using PPE correctly
Working with brewing, packaging and logistics teams to keep orders on time
What You'll Need
A strong work ethic, reliability and honesty
Physical fitness to manoeuvre kegs up to 60kg
Safety consciousness and fastidious hygiene habits
Willingness to work rotating day, afternoon and night shifts
Comfort in a fast-paced, noisy, hot-and-cold environment
Bonus points for experience in beverage packaging, brewing or FMCG manufacturing, mechanical aptitude, a high-risk forklift licence, or a first-aid certificate.
The shift pattern
Week 1: Day shift, 6:00 AM-2:00 PM, Mon-Fri
Week 2: Afternoon shift, 2:00 PM-10:00 PM, Sun-Thu
Week 3: Night shift, 10:00 PM-6:00 AM, Sun-Thu
