Chef / Cook – New BAKE’D Merrylands Location

BAKE’D Sydney is opening a new location in Merrylands, and we’re looking for an experienced Chef / Cook to join our kitchen team.

We’re looking for someone who is hands-on, reliable and confident working in a quick-paced café kitchen. You’ll be responsible for preparing and executing our menu while maintaining BAKE’D standards for quality, presentation and consistency.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items to BAKE’D recipes and standards
Manage your section during busy service periods
Ensure consistent portioning, presentation and food quality
Complete daily food preparation and mise en place
Maintain a clean, organised and efficient workstation
Follow food safety, hygiene and WHS requirements
Assist with stock rotation, labelling and storage
Minimise food waste and maintain portion control
Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team

What We’re Looking For
Previous experience as a Chef or Cook in a busy café or restaurant




Strong breakfast and brunch experience preferred
Confident working on grill, pans and other kitchen sections
Ability to work efficiently under pressure
Good understanding of food safety and hygiene
Reliable, punctual and a strong team player
High attention to food quality and presentation
Weekend and public holiday availability is essential
