The Role
Work Type: Catering Assistant / Barista (Level 3) and Supervisor opportunities available
Shifts: Monday to Friday, primarily morning shifts, with occasional evening and weekend event shifts available

We have an exciting chance for experienced and enthusiastic Café Baristas and Catering Assistants to join our team at Canberra Grammar School, a premier education site in Canberra.

This hands-on role offers variety across café operations, barista service, food and beverage duties, and event catering.

We are looking for exceptional customer service professionals who take pride in creating memorable guest experiences, excel at making quality coffee, and bring a positive,



can-do attitude to every shift.

If you thrive in a café or hospitality environment, enjoy interacting with people, are self-motivated, and have strong café, barista, or hospitality experience, we would love to hear from you.

Whether you already have hospitality experience or are looking for an chance to build your skills, we are seeking individuals with the right attitude, reliability, and willingness to be part of a great team.

To Be Successful in This Role, You Must Have:
A current WWVP (Working with Vulnerable People) Card - essential
A current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificate - essential
Experience with cash handling and POS systems
Excellent customer service and communication skills
The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
The ability to take direction while also using initiative
Flexible availability, including day, evening, and weekend shifts
Willingness to obtain any required food safety training
