Are you ready to undertake electrical design efforts that expand the frontiers of space exploration with cutting edge space robotics? Lunar Outpost Oceania is seeking a talented Electrical Engineer Intern to join our quick-paced, agile team. In this role, you will support design and develop electrical systems for spacecraft and associated technologies. Your work will contribute to groundbreaking projects in lunar mobility and in-situ resource utilisation.

During this 12 week internship, you will be required to work on a full time basis onsite in Burnley.

Applicants must have full, unrestricted working rights for Australia.

Position Description

As an Electrical Engineer Intern, you will:
Contribute to electrical schematic, PCB and harness design.
Support development of electrical hardware and systems.
Assist with PCB manufacturing and assembly.
Conduct hardware testing and qualification, including test firmware development.




Research solutions to electrical integration challenges.
Address radiation and environmental requirements.
Assist with harness manufacturing and assembly.
Work closely with hardware and software engineers on design and validation.
Prepare technical writing and documentation.
Adhere to safety and ESD protocols at all stages of work.

Preferred Disciplines

Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, Engineering.

Requirements
Minimum of 2 years’ experience studying an engineering discipline at university.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers and software developers, to integrate electrical systems with other components.
Confidence to participate in design reviews and provide feedback and recommendations to improve system performance.
Must be legally permitted to work in Australia.
