Role Description The Workshop Foreman is a full-time, in office role based at Deloraine, TAS. This position oversees day-to-day workshop operations, including planning work schedules, allocating tasks, and supervising workshop staff. The role involves coordinating the fabrication, and assembly of livestock equipment, ensuring all work meets quality, safety, and efficiency standards.

The Workshop

Foreman is responsible for monitoring equipment use, organizing maintenance activities, managing inventory of materials and tools, and maintaining a clean,



safe work environment. The role also includes communicating with management and other team members to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification.

Qualifications
Solid supervisory skills, including team leadership, task delegation, and performance monitoring.
Experience working with equipment, including safe operation, basic troubleshooting, and adherence to safety procedures.
Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members, management, and other stakeholders. Fabrication skills relevant to metal fabrication, construction, and assembly of livestock equipment and workshop projects.
General maintenance skills for tools, machinery, and workshop facilities.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work orders.
Prior experience in a workshop, manufacturing, or agricultural setting is advantageous.
