We are currently looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our growing Electrical Manufacturing Business. Location: Thomastown, VIC
We are a leading electrical engineering and manufacturing company specialising in the design, manufacture, testing and installation of electrical switchboards, transformer kiosks and packaged substation solutions.
About the Role
As Project Manager, you will take ownership of multiple projects from contract award through to manufacture, testing, delivery and commissioning. Working closely with engineering, procurement, production, clients and suppliers, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within scope and budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key responsibilities include
Managing multiple switchboard manufacturing projects from start to finish
Reviewing contracts, purchase orders, specifications, tender documentation and client drawings
Developing project schedules and delivery programs in consultation with clients
Managing RFIs, EOTs, NODs and variations in accordance with contractual requirements
Coordinating project handover to engineering and supporting the design process
Reviewing detailed engineering designs and project documentation
Preparing and issuing ITPs and ITTPs and coordinating drawing reviews
Managing procurement to ensure quality products, competitive pricing and timely delivery
Coordinating project handover to workshop management and production teams
Monitoring manufacturing progress and working closely with production to maintain effective delivery
Forecasting project performance, costs and timelines and reporting to management
Managing project costings through the Pronto system and addressing any budget variances
Coordinating and participating in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and commissioning
Liaising with clients, suppliers, engineers and internal stakeholders to ensure project requirements are clearly understood and delivered
Providing regular project updates and reporting at weekly operations meetings
Ensuring compliance with relevant Australian Standards, statutory requirements, quality and environmental systems.
You will ideally have:
Proven experience managing projects from inception through to completion
Robust understanding of electrical engineering and manufacturing processes
Experience working with technical drawings, specifications and project documentation
