Project EstimatorResidential Construction | Inner West Sydney

Home Impact is looking for an experienced Project Estimator to join our team and support the planning and delivery of residential building projects across Sydney’s Inner West.

We’re looking for someone with robust estimating experience who understands residential construction, can prepare accurate costings and is comfortable working closely with our construction, design and management teams.

About the roleYou’ll be responsible for preparing and managing estimates across our residential projects, helping ensure projects are accurately costed from the early stages through to construction.

Your responsibilities may include
Preparing detailed estimates and project costings
Reviewing architectural plans, specifications and project documentation
Preparing take-offs and material quantities
Obtaining and reviewing supplier and subcontractor quotations
Comparing pricing and identifying cost-saving opportunities where appropriate
Assisting with project budgets and cost planning
Preparing and reviewing variations
Managing overall project administration, including assisting with obtaining certificates, permits and other required approvals
Maintaining accurate estimating and project records
Working closely with the design,



construction and management teams
Supporting the handover of projects from estimating into construction

About youWe’re looking for someone with:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in residential construction
Strong experience as an Estimator, Contract Administrator or similar construction role
A solid understanding of residential building methods, materials and costs
Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
Confidence reading and interpreting plans and specifications
Good organisational and time management skills
Robust written and verbal communication skills
A practical and proactive approach to problem solving
DataBuild experience is highly regarded
