2027 Vintage Cellar Hand — Mitchelton Winery, Nagambie

Set in the Nagambie Lakes wine region, Mitchelton Winery produces premium Victorian wines across a broad range of varieties and styles. We're looking for an experienced, well-organised Cellar Hand to join our winemaking team for the 2027 vintage, a fixed-term role running approximately 6–8 weeks. Accommodation is provided.

It's a hands-on, cellar-based role with real variety — you'll be involved across the full process, from harvest through to bottle.

What you'll be doing

Working alongside the winemaking team to keep standards high:
Operating processing equipment and presses
Pump overs, transfers and additions
Sanitation of tanks and lines
Filtration, barrel work, blending and bottling prep
Keeping the cellar clean, protected and well organised

What we're looking for
2–3 years' cellar experience
Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving
Current driver's licence and forklift licence




Keen attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
A solid understanding of basic winemaking principles
Someone who follows instructions and puts safety — theirs and everyone else's — first
A strong communicator and team player who helps build a positive workplace
Able to work independently with a can-do attitude
Comfortable with physical work day to day
Available for diverse shifts, including weekends, extended hours and night shift through vintage
Australian citizenship or a valid visa with full working rights
