The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for a Contracts Administrator to join a well-established construction business delivering projects across the healthcare and live environments sector.
The role offers a unique mix of one existing legacy project, which requires ongoing contract administration, alongside a strong pipeline of new projects currently progressing through tender and pre-construction.
This means you'll have the opportunity to manage the commercial requirements of an active project while also being involved in the early stages of exciting new work coming through the business.
The Role
Your responsibilities will span both the existing project and upcoming opportunities, including:
Taking ownership of the Contracts Administration for one existing legacy project
Managing variations, progress claims, payment schedules and commercial reporting for the project
Reviewing contractual obligations and managing project documentation
Working closely with subcontractors, consultants and the project team
Supporting the tendering of new projects entering the business
Reviewing tender documentation, scopes and subcontractor packages
Assisting with pricing, budgets and commercial analysis during pre-construction
Supporting the transition of successful tenders into project delivery
Identifying and managing commercial and contractual risks
Maintaining accurate project registers and commercial documentation
About You
We're looking for a commercially minded Contracts Administrator with experience within commercial construction.
You'll ideally have:
Previous Contracts Administration experience within commercial construction
Strong understanding of construction contracts and subcontract administration
Experience with variations, progress claims and commercial reporting
Exposure to tendering or pre-construction is advantageous
Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
A proactive approach and the ability to work autonomously
A relevant construction, building, quantity surveying or similar qualification is advantageous
Why Consider the Role?
This isn't a role where you'll be managing multiple ageing projects with little opportunity for progression.
You'll have clear ownership of one legacy project, while being involved in the tendering and pre-construction of new projects that will form the future pipeline of the business.
It's an chance to gain genuine exposure across the commercial lifecycle of construction projects, from tender through to delivery, within a growing and forward-thinking team.
All applications will be treated confidentially.
