Little Wallabies Child Care Centre, Turramurra

We are seeking an experienced, reliable and passionate Cook to join our small family-owned childcare centre in Turramurra on Sydney's Upper North Shore. Caring for up to 40 children each day, we are committed to providing nutritious, healthy meals in a warm and supportive workplace.

Position Details
Permanent part time position
Monday to Friday, 9:00am–1:00pm (20 hours per week)
Preparing meals and snacks for children aged 0–5 years
Following an established set menu and dietary guidelines

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and serve nutritious, age-appropriate meals and snacks
Cater for children with allergies, cultural requirements and special dietary needs
Maintain high standards of food safety and kitchen hygiene
Manage kitchen supplies and food preparation efficiently
Work collaboratively with centre staff

Essential Requirements




Current NSW Working With Children Check (or willing to obtain before commencement)
Australian permanent residency, Australian citizenship, or a valid working visa
Ability to complete National Child Safety Training through Geccko (mandatory for all childcare staff) - this must be completed within 2 weeks of starting in the role.
Food Safety Supervisor Certificate, or willingness to obtain

Preferred Qualifications
Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) or equivalent
Previous experience preparing meals in a childcare, school, aged care or similar setting
Robust organisational and time management skills, ability to multitask
Excellent communication skills and a positive team-focused attitude To Apply
