About us:
Our tuckshop is a proudly school-owned and operated retail and catering service, servicing approximately 1,117 students and 160 staff each day. In addition to our regular tuckshop service, we provide in-house catering for school events and activities, making this a wide-ranging and active food service environment.
We are a forward-thinking school that is continually looking at ways to improve what we offer, how we operate and how we can create a positive experience for our school community.
Your opportunity:
Working as part of our tuckshop team, you will assist with the day-to-day operation of a busy school food service, retail and catering environment.
Your responsibilities will include: Preparing and serving food and beverages Serving students and staff in a friendly and effective manner Processing in-person and online student and staff orders through Flexischools Handling cash, EFTPOS and other retail transactions accurately Assisting with food preparation and daily tuckshop operations Stock handling, including receiving, checking, storing and rotating stock Supporting food safety compliance and maintaining high standards of food handling Maintaining appropriate workplace hygiene,



cleanliness and food safety standards Contributing to effective operational efficiency across the tuckshop Assisting with in-house catering for school events and activities Working collaboratively with the Tuckshop Convenor and Retail Manager Contributing ideas and suggestions to improve our menu, service and day-to-day operations Following the Smart Choices - Healthy Food and Drink Supply Strategy for Queensland Schools Engaging with the Queensland Association of School Tuckshops (QAST) and its resources, career development and training opportunities Please view the role description for a full list of responsibilities.
