About the role:
TheSenior Shift Manageroversees the day‐to‐day operations of the Chefgood at our Loftus Road facility, ensuring the smooth and effective delivery of logistics activities including order picking, dispatch, team coordination, and compliance with site standards.
This senior operational position is responsible for driving safety, quality, productivity, and service performance outcomes while leading a team of approximately 10 employees per shift.
The role requires a hands‐on leadership approach, with the Senior Shift Manager actively supporting and managing operations on the floor throughout the majority of each shift.
Key Responsibilities but not limited to:
Operations & Production Management
Manage the dailyoperations of theChefgood Loftus Roadfacility, overseeing logistics, production support, picking, dispatch, andworkflow activities toensure efficient andtimely delivery offresh meal products.
Develop, implement, andmonitor operational strategies, procedures, and plansto achieve productiontargets, service requirements, quality standards, andbusiness objectives.
Plan and coordinatedaily operational activities, considering productionvolumes, customer demand,



labour requirements,availableresources,anddelivery timelines.
Lead, coach, anddevelop a teamof approximately 10team members pershift, fostering aculture of accountability, safety, quality, andoperational excellence.
Plan workforce requirements, manage rostering, monitorlabour allocation, andensure appropriate staffinglevels to meetoperational demands.
Conduct teamperformancereviews,provide feedback, and supportemployee development inline with MYMCpolicies and procedures.
Production, Logistics & Process Improvement
Overseepicking, packing, dispatch, and logistics activitiesto ensure customerorders arecompletedaccurately,safely, andwithin required timeframes.
Monitor production outputs,inventory accuracy, andoperational costs, adjustingresources and processesto improve performance.
Ensure efficient managementof cold chainprocesses, including safeand timely truckloading tomaintainproductqualityandfreshnessstandards.
Maintain accurate inventoryrecords, including finishedgoods stock, stockmovements, cycle counts, and operationaldocumentationwithinERP systemssuch as MicrosoftDynamics 365.
Monitor inventory processes, identify discrepancies, and implement correctiveactions to improvestock accuracyand operational control.
Prepare and reviewshift reports, productionrecords, KPI reporting, and operational insightsfor senior leadership.
Quality & Food SafetyManagement
Ensure alloperationalactivitiescomply withMYMC's food safety, quality, and HACCPrequirements.
Monitor completion ofHACCP documentation, qualityrecords, and operationalchecks to maintaincompliance with foodsafety standards.
Ensure products aremanufactured, handled,stored, anddispatchedaccordingto requiredquality, safety, andfreshness standards.
Safety & Compliance




Promote and maintaina strong workplacehealth and safetyculture byidentifyinghazards,managing risks, and implementingpreventativeactions.
Coordinate safety inspections, audits, incidentreporting, and correctiveactions to ensurecompliance with WHSrequirements.
Monitor equipment condition, coordinatemaintenanceactivities,and elevateoperational issues affectingsafety, quality,or productivity.
Continuous Improvement & Stakeholder Engagement
Lead operationalimprovementinitiativesbyanalysingprocesses,identifyinginefficiencies,andimplementingpracticalsolutions.
Participate in strategicplanning discussions byproviding operational insights, performance data, andrecommendations to seniormanagement.
Collaborate withinternalstakeholdersto improveproduction methods,resource planning, andservice outcomes.
Skills And Qualifications
Bachelor's degree inLogistics, Supply ChainManagement, Business, ora related discipline.
Minimum of3 years' experiencein logistics, warehousing, production operations,or a similaroperational environment.
Demonstratedleadershipexperiencemanaging teamswithin a fast‐paced logistics, warehouse, or manufacturing environment.
Experience working intemperature‐controlledwarehousing,cold chainoperations, or freshfood environments ishighly desirable.
Strong understanding ofinventory management,dispatchoperations,workforce planning, and operational KPImonitoring.
Ability toanalyse operational data, interpretperformancereports,and makeinformed decisions to improve productivity andefficiency.
Proficiency in MicrosoftOffice Suite andexperience using ERPsystems such asMicrosoft Dynamics 365is preferred.
Excellent organisational, communication, andstakeholdermanagementskills, withthe ability tolead teams andcollaborate effectivelyacross different businessfunctions.
