About the role

We are seeking an experienced Carpenter to join us on a casual/subcontractor basis for residential & commercial construction work in the Darling Downs region. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone with solid trade experience who can get the best out of a team on-site.

Key responsibilities

· Supervise labourers and related crew in office

· Plan and manage the day-to-day running of jobs, including site plans, materials and equipment

· Ensure the security and safety of personnel, equipment and worksites at all times

· Maintain required documentation including SWMS, SDS, pre-starts, hazard reports, daily diaries and PPE records

· Check equipment regularly for repair and maintenance

· Maintain a clean, organised and compliant job site

· Identify and resolve in office issues, and assist with incident investigations when required

About you





· Proven experience as a Builder, Carpenter, Tradesperson with a solid track record of quality work

· Experience supervising a team, or ready to step up into a leadership role

· Ability to read site plans and measure/mark installation areas accurately

· Sound knowledge of WHS legislation and industry compliance requirements

· Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail

· Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

· Ability to work unsupervised and manage competing priorities

· Willingness to travel and work away from home at times

· Required: current driver's licence and White Card

Pay: $50.00 – $60.00 per hour
