Walt & Burley is looking for an experienced and ambitious Assistant Venue Manager to join our team at one of Canberra’s best waterfront locations.

Located on the Kingston Foreshore overlooking Lake Burley Griffin, Walt & Burley is a busy, established gastro pub and part of a growing multi-venue Canberra hospitality group.

Working closely with the Venue Manager, this is a hands-on leadership role with genuine responsibility and a clear opportunity to progress.

The role
Lead and coordinate busy services
Support the Venue Manager with daily operations
Lead, coach and develop the front-of-house team




Maintain high standards of customer service
Support rostering, stock control and ordering
Maintain venue presentation and operational standards
Support functions and events
Ensure RSA, WHS and venue procedures are followed
Step into the Venue Manager role when required
