Join the close-knit team at Vulcan Hotel as an Overnight All-Rounder.

This flexible role is ideal for someone seeking overnight work with limited active hours. After completing approximately two hours of scheduled duties, you may rest in your private room and will only need to assist guests if required during the night.

As this is a live-in role, private accommodation is provided at the hotel.
n
On your days off, you can continue enjoying your own room in the heart of Sydney for just $35 per day.
n
Each overnight shift includes payment for two hours of active work plus an overnight allowance.
n
Key responsibilities
n
Welcome and check-in guests, ensuring a friendly and efficient experience after reception closes (10PM)
n
Assist with guest inquiries and requests, liaising with other departments as needed
n
Maintain a clean, tidy and well-presented hotel workplace throughout the night
n
Process guest payments and manage the daily cash float
n
Perform light housekeeping duties, such as restocking supplies and minor cleaning tasks
n
Handle minor maintenance and resolve small issues as they arise in the evening
n




Monitor and respond to security and emergency situations as required at night
n
Provide a high level of customer service at all times
n
About you
n
Previous experience in a similar overnight or front office role within the hospitality industry
n
Solid customer service orientation and the ability to remain calm under pressure
n
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
n
Proficiency in using hotel management software and point-of-sale systems
n
Willingness to work flexible overnight shifts, including weekends and public holidays
n
A current NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification
n
Willing to provide Police Checks and Character References

Private accommodation: Enjoy a private room, fully furnished in the city for $35/day on nights you are not working, deducted from your weekly wage. Room comes with a Queen Bed, Desk, Smart TV and Wardrobe

Staff Facilities: Access to shared bathroom and kitchen facilities, shared with one other night staff
n
Flexible Shifts: Work 3-4 shifts per week after reception closes (10PM)
n
Minimum Commitment: A commitment of 6 months to 1 year to live on-site
