About the role

As a Packing/Production Operator, you'll be responsible for producing the right quality and quantity of bagged feed products while ensuring all safety, quality and operational standards are met. This is a varied role that involves operating packing equipment, supporting mill operations, and helping keep production running smoothly. Standard hours are 6:00am to 2:30pm, however flexibility to work shift work when required is essential.

Key responsibilities
Operate and monitor bagging and packing equipment safely and efficiently.
Run packing machines and complete production line activities.
Conduct pre-start equipment checks and monitor equipment performance.
Change machine configurations to accommodate different products.
Perform quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.
General cleaning and housekeeping to maintain a safe work workplace.
Support and provide backfill assistance in the Mill when required.
Coordinate raw material requirements and loading of customer orders.
Accurately complete production records and stock counts.
Follow all safety, quality,



GMP and HACCP procedures.

About you
Previous experience operating machinery or production equipment.
Experience working in manufacturing, food production, feed milling or similar environments.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
Ability to troubleshoot equipment and product quality issues.
Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Flexibility to work shift work when required.
Current Forklift Licence.
Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP.
Warehouse and logistics experience.
Experience assessing product quality and consistency.
