The
Senior Manager, Data Analytics Consulting
is responsible for planning, organising, directing, controlling and coordinating complex ICT development and transformation projects involving data, analytics, artificial intelligence and cloud technologies. The role manages projects from initiation and discovery through solution design, development, implementation, deployment and closure, ensuring agreed milestones, deliverables, budgets, timeframes and quality requirements are achieved.

Responsibilities
Partner with senior business and technology leaders to understand strategic objectives, identify business opportunities and translate requirements into actionable data, analytics and ICT solution roadmaps
Plan, organise, direct and coordinate complex data, analytics and AI-enabled ICT projects across the full project lifecycle, including initiation, discovery, planning, solution design, development, implementation, monitoring and closure
Identify, evaluate and prioritise data, analytics and AI use cases based on business value, technical feasibility, data readiness and organisational capability
Develop enterprise data and analytics strategies, target-state architectures, implementation roadmaps and business cases aligned with clients' long-term objectives
Advise clients on modern data platforms, business intelligence, advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, data governance and cloud transformation
Direct and coordinate the end-to-end development and implementation of modern data and analytics solutions, ensuring alignment between business requirements, solution architecture, project scope, schedules, budgets, milestones and agreed deliverables
Collaborate with Solution Architects, Technical Leads and delivery teams to define scalable, secure and maintainable data solutions
Provide leadership across multidisciplinary teams, including data engineers, business analysts, BI developers, data scientists, solution architects, quality engineers, DevOps engineers and other specialists
Establish clear delivery priorities, outcomes, roadmaps and success measures, and ensure that delivery activities remain aligned with business objectives
Assess the availability,
quality and suitability of data required for analytical solutions and recommend improvements to data architecture, data management and governance processes
Help clients identify what data should be captured, integrated, processed and made available to support business decisions and future analytical capabilities
Define measurable business outcomes and success metrics and support clients in monitoring the value delivered by data and analytics initiatives
Manage complex consulting engagements, including scope, delivery governance, stakeholder alignment, risks, dependencies and executive communications
Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, technology partners and third-party service providers
Communicate complex technical concepts, solution options, trade-offs and recommendations clearly to both business and technical audiences
Facilitate executive workshops, discovery sessions and stakeholder discussions to establish alignment and support informed decision-making
Drive pre-sales activities, including opportunity qualification, solution shaping, proposals, responses to RFx, estimates, proof-of-concept initiatives and executive presentations
Support account growth by identifying opportunities where data, analytics and AI capabilities can create measurable business value
Contribute to the development of reusable consulting approaches, delivery assets, reference architectures and industry-specific offerings
Provide thought leadership on developments in cloud data platforms, advanced analytics, generative AI, data governance and emerging technology trends
Lead, mentor and develop consulting and delivery team members, supporting recruitment, capability development, performance management and career progression
Requirements
At least 10 years of professional experience in data and analytics, technology consulting, business intelligence, data engineering or related disciplines
Demonstrated experience leading data and analytics consulting engagements or large-scale transformation programmes
Strong experience working with senior business and technology stakeholders to define strategies, roadmaps and technology-enabled business solutions
Proven ability to lead engagements from initial discovery and advisory through solution design, implementation and adoption
Strong technical grounding and previous hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas: data strategy and architecture, data engineering and integration, data warehousing and data platforms, business intelligence and data visualisation, data management and governance, advanced analytics, machine learning or artificial intelligence
Experience delivering enterprise data platform modernisation or cloud migration initiatives
Strong knowledge of at least one major cloud platform, including Microsoft Azure, AWS or Google Cloud Platform
Experience with modern data and analytics technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI or comparable platforms
Practical understanding of advanced analytics, machine learning and generative AI use cases, including their business value, data requirements, limitations and implementation considerations
Strong understanding of data architecture, data modelling, integration patterns, data quality, governance and the data lifecycle
Experience managing consulting engagements, delivery priorities, risks, dependencies and stakeholder expectations
Demonstrated pre-sales experience, including solution development, proposal preparation, RFx responses, estimation and executive presentations
