Post: Personal Assistant/ Care Worker

Hours: FT 1x31 Hours per week or PT 2x10 and 1x11 hours (term time while at Stirling University)

n

Rate of Pay: £13.45 per hour Gross

n

Driving License: Preferable but not necessary.

n

The hours will cover weekends, with an chance of more hours when covering holidays.

n

This role is to assist a 19-year-old woman who is starting at Stirling University, studying Psychology. The role will include some personal care and assistance with socialising.

n

The young woman is severely visually impaired and is a wheelchair user, she is looking for someone with similar interests who can help balance studying, socialising and everyday life.

n

The young woman is very social, fun loving, is an animal lover, outgoing and has hobbies including music (listening and playing), listening to books and watching tv shows.

n





The ideal candidate would be someone who can assist with day to day tasks but also understand the importance of when to step back and encourage independence.

n

Personal care will include;

Assisting with medications
n
Assisting with mealtimes
n
Assisting with accessing events and community
n
Assisting with nasogastric feed
n
Any other duties that commensurate with the role of being a Personal Assistant
