Qube Research & Technologies (QRT) is building a new Delta One trading desk in Sydney , and we're looking for an early hire to help shape its direction and growth.

This is not a traditional trading role where you'll be confined to one part of the trading lifecycle. The role sits at the intersection of trading and quantitative research.

You'll trade Delta One products across Asian markets, operate systematic strategies spanning short-term to longer-term horizons, manage risk, research and develop current alpha signals, and work closely with quantitative researchers and engineers to improve the tools and infrastructure powering the desk.

As the platform develops, you'll also help identify new prospects and contribute to expanding our trading capabilities across Asia-Pacific markets.

We're looking for someone with:
Experience trading Delta One products, ideally ETFs, futures, and/or equities, across Asian exchanges, delivering efficient execution and competitive pricing
Solid quantitative and probabilistic thinking, with an intuitive understanding of expected value and risk/reward
Experience in systematic trading, market making, proprietary trading or quantitative research




Programming skills and the ability to work with data and turn ideas into practical trading solutions
A genuine curiosity about markets and interest in both research and implementation
A builder mindset — someone who enjoys improving strategies, tools and processes rather than simply operating within established frameworks
High levels of ownership, attention to detail and accountability
The ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across trading, research and engineering

What matters is that you're intellectually curious, quantitatively strong, comfortable taking ownership and excited by the chance to help build rather than simply inherit .
