Cazam Kitchens & Joinery is a Melbourne-based joinery company specialising in high-quality residential and commercial cabinetry, joinery and fit-out projects.
We are currently seeking an experienced and highly experienced Commercial Project Manager to join our growing team.
This is a full-time position with an attractive salary package offered, dependent on experience.
THE ROLE
As a Commercial Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing commercial joinery projects from project handover through to completion.
The role will primarily focus on high-rise apartment developments, multi-residential projects, shop fit-outs and commercial joinery projects.
You will work closely with builders, site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and our internal design and production teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Managing commercial joinery projects from handover through to completion
Overseeing high-rise apartment and multi-residential joinery installations
Managing retail, shop fit-out and other commercial projects
Developing and managing project programs and installation schedules
Coordinating site supervisors, installers and subcontractors
Liaising with builders, project managers, site managers and clients
Reviewing and interpreting shop drawings, construction plans and specifications
Coordinating project requirements with internal design, production and purchasing teams
Managing project budgets, costs and variations
Monitoring project progress and identifying potential delays or risks
Resolving site, installation and coordination issues efficiently
Ensuring projects meet required quality, safety and compliance standards




Managing defects and overseeing project completion and handover
Attending site meetings and providing regular project updates
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
Previous experience as a Commercial Project Manager, Project Coordinator or similar role
Experience managing high-rise apartment or multi-residential projects
Experience managing commercial joinery, cabinetry or fit-out projects
Strong understanding of commercial construction and fit-out processes
Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings and construction plans
Strong experience managing multiple projects and competing deadlines
Experience coordinating installers, subcontractors and site teams
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Experience managing project budgets, variations and costs
A proactive and hands-on approach to project management
A trade background in Cabinet Making, Joinery, Carpentry or Construction would be highly regarded.
