Our client is a growing and innovative fintech business with a strong presence in the Australian market.
The organisation operates within a technology-led environment and is focused on delivering innovative solutions to customers across a rapidly evolving sector.
With continued growth and investment across the business, they are looking to strengthen their finance function with the appointment of an experienced FP&A; Manager.
The opportunity
The FP&A; Manager will play an important role in supporting financial planning, performance analysis and commercial decision‐making across the organisation.
This is a broad FP&A; position suited to someone who enjoys working closely with stakeholders, understanding business drivers and translating financial data into meaningful insights.
The role will have exposure to senior management and provide an opportunity to contribute to the continued development of the finance function.
Key responsibilities
Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes
Prepare monthly management reporting and performance analysis
Analyse actual performance against budget and forecast
Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts
Provide financial insights and commentary to senior stakeholders
Partner with key business areas to understand performance and financial drivers
Support business planning and longer-term financial forecasting
Prepare financial analysis and business cases to support investment and strategic decisions
Develop and monitor key financial and operational metrics
Identify trends,
risks and opportunities and communicate these to management
Improve existing reporting, forecasting and FP&A; processes
Support financial modelling for new initiatives and business opportunities
Assist with ad hoc commercial analysis and strategic projects
About you
We are seeking an experienced FP&A; professional with strong analytical and commercial capabilities.
You will ideally have:
CA/CPA qualification or equivalent
Experience in FP&A;, commercial finance or financial analysis
Experience within a technology, fintech or high‐growth business environment is advantageous
Strong financial modelling and forecasting skills
Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities
The ability to translate complex financial information into clear commercial insights
A proactive and commercially minded approach
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
Experience with financial systems, reporting tools, data visualisation or process improvement would be advantageous.
