District Eatery is a modern neighbourhood café in Gladesville, Sydney, known for its elevated brunch and relaxed local vibe.
It serves all-day breakfast, brunch, and lunch, focusing on fresh seasonal ingredients, specialty coffee (including St Ali), and creative takes on Aussie café classics.

District Eatery is now looking for an experienced Chef to join their team.

The right candidate will be responsible for:
Assist cooks and chef with preparations;
Demonstrate various cooking techniques;
Minimise wastage;
Train new cooks and chefs on platings and cooking procedures;
Plan and change menus with restaurant manager and Head chef;
Ensure health and safety procedures are followed;
Supervise kitchen staff;
Deal with waiters and other members;
Cook,



slice and prepare ingredients, such as meat, fish and vegetables;
Ensure all ingredients are properly stored and labeled;
Manage operations of the kitchen, including rostering and purchasing;

About you:
At least 1 year of experience as a Chef;
Solid cooking and management skills;
Ability to manage and supervise team and orders;
Robust creativity and ability to assist cooks and Chefs throughout the service;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;

Job type: Permanent/full time
Salary: $79,000 - $83,000
