We're looking for someone hands-on to join a 42-bed residential aged care home in Campbell, right in the heart of Canberra. Whether you're a maintenance officer looking for your next site or you've got supervisory experience and want more ownership of the role, we'd love to hear from you.

This is a genuinely lovely site to work in: two storeys, a chapel, a memory support unit with brand new flooring, fresh paint going up around the building, current hand washing stations already in and recent curtains on the way. You'd be stepping into a home that's actively being invested in, not one you're constantly playing catch-up on.

What you'll be doing
Handle general repairs, upkeep and minor maintenance around the home
Run basic inspections and flag anything that needs a tradesperson
Keep shared spaces, grounds and common areas tidy and well presented (there's already a contract gardener, so you focus on the building)




Work alongside the Residential Manager in office and the wider property team for technical back-up
Keep on top of compliance logs, safety checks and inspection records
Coordinate contractors on-site and make sure they're following the right processes
Be a friendly, and familiar face for residents, families, and staff around the home

What you'll bring
Experience in general maintenance, handy person work or grounds care
A current driving license
Experience in coordinating contractors (a bonus, especially at supervisor level)
A helpful solutions-focused approach and pride in doing the job properly
Patience and respect for older people
Comfortable with basic computer use and keeping accurate records
National police clearance (or willing to obtain)
Working with vulnerable persons check (or willing to obtain)
Right to work in Australia
