Portland Family Practice is seeking a friendly, capable and motivated Practice Nurse to join our busy and supportive general practice team.

We are a small but busy clinic with five GPs, providing a broad range of healthcare services to our local community. We are looking for a nurse who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, is confident working both independently and as part of a team, and genuinely enjoys building relationships with patients.

About the Role

As a Practice Nurse, you will work closely with our GPs, nursing and administration team to provide high-quality patient care.

Your duties will include
Immunisations and vaccinations
Wound care and dressings
Health assessments and chronic disease management
Assisting GPs with care plans and preventative health activities
ECGs, spirometry and other clinical procedures
Patient recalls and follow-up
Infection control and sterilisation
Cold chain and vaccine management
Stock management and maintaining clinical rooms
Assisting with minor procedures
General nursing support to our doctors and patients

About You

We are looking for someone who is:
A Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse with current AHPRA registration
Friendly, reliable and professional
Organised and able to manage competing priorities




Comfortable working in a busy general practice workplace
A strong communicator with a patient-focused approach
Able to work independently while also being a supportive team member
Proactive and willing to help wherever needed

Previous general practice experience is highly regarded; however, we are also happy to consider the right nurse who is keen to develop their skills in general practice.

Experience with MedicalDirector and Pracsoft would be advantageous but is not essential.
