What You Will Do
Support the Legal and Coronial team to manage correspondence and coordinate responses to legal requests, including statements, affidavits, and recommendations resulting from internal reviews, coronial and other inquiries.
This work requires close attention to detail and excellent organisational skills to produce responses to numerous and wide-ranging requests for information, in a time pressured environment.
To be successful, you will be able to understand new subject matter quickly, demonstrate appropriate initiative, engage constructively with stakeholders, and have a strong capacity to draft accurate, timely and audience-appropriate documents.
Experience in a legal and/or health setting, and an effective understanding of government processes, would be an advantage.
You Will
manage varied legal requests, correspondence, statements and affidavits
draft accurate responses to coronial matters, reviews and other inquiries
maintain reliable records and systems for tracking legal requests
build effective working relationships to help resolve legal requests




support a positive, inclusive team and contribute to other duties as needed.
About You
A tertiary qualification in law, public policy or health is desirable.
No mandatory qualification is listed for this role.
You have experience with government or legal processes and can manage detailed work under time pressure.
You Should Also Have
sound knowledge of Victorian government administrative or legal processes
strong experience drafting responses and other documents for legal or policy work
flexible and collaborative ways of working, with a focus on inclusion
clear communication, sound judgement and a focus on solving problems and improving work.
