About the Role

We are searching for an experienced Casual Chef or Cook to join our kitchen team on a 7-day rotating roster, including weekends and holiday periods. You’ll be creating honest, quality pub-style meals with flair, while contributing to a positive and skilled team culture.

Reporting to the Head Chef, you will play an integral role in delivering a consistent, high-quality dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare, cook, and present dishes with accuracy, pride, and passion
Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to maintain high standards
Follow all food safety, hygiene, and WHS regulations
Contribute creative ideas to menu development
Manage portion control, minimise waste, and support stock control
Maintain a premium, consistent standard of food quality and service

About You

You thrive in a fast-paced kitchen and enjoy working as part of a supportive,



diverse team. You’re motivated, reliable, and bring a positive can-do attitude.

You’ll Bring:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar Chef or Cook role
Cooking qualifications (highly desirable but not essential)
Strong knowledge of modern pub food, contemporary trends, and culinary techniques
Excellent understanding of food quality, sanitation, cost control, and presentation
Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage deadlines
Strong communication skills with colleagues, suppliers, and management
Ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment
