We're looking for a Bakery Assistant who takes pride in a job done well and thrives in the buzz of an early-morning bakery. You'll bake fresh bread, rolls, and pastries daily. It's hands-on, hardworking, and genuinely rewarding! Perfect for someone ready to grow with a locally owned business.

YOUR DAY TO DAY
Preparing and baking bread, rolls, pastries, and other items.
Supporting the day-to-day running of the bakery department alongside the Bakery Manager.
Monitoring product freshness, stock rotation, and product availability.
Assisting with checking deliveries and reducing waste.
Maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic work area, with equipment used safely and any maintenance issues reported promptly.
Providing friendly and helpful customer service when required.

DOES THIS SOUND LIKE YOU?
Experience in a retail or commercial bakery workplace.
Sound understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Good communication and teamwork skills.




Reliable, with robust attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
Willingness to work early mornings and weekends.
Physically fit, comfortable standing for long periods and lifting, and working around hot ovens, cold storage, and cleaning chemicals.

Early morning starts from approx. 5:00am
Weekend availability required
Reports to the Bakery Manager
