About The Role
n
We are looking for an experienced Dietitian to join us in this critical role to provide Nutrition and Dietetics services to inpatients including Acute, Sub-Acute and Older persons within the Mental Health services.
n
You Will Be Responsible For
n
n
Working with consumers individually and in groups to provide education, consultation and support to colleagues.
n
Assessing nutritional status and developing diet plans.
n
Provision of nutritional guidance, support and education to relevant Mental Health staff, consumers, families and carers.
n
Provision of evidence-based clinical nutritional care of clients with mental health conditions, with a high level of clinical expertise and knowledge in Dietetic practice for patients with mental health conditions.

Monitoring, reviewing and developing relevant clinical nutrition policies and protocols

Our Ideal Candidate Will Demonstrate
n
n
Recognised tertiary qualifications in Nutrition and Dietetics, enabling eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia
n
Knowledge and understanding of current nutrition and dietetic best practice, including dietetics issues specific to the mental health setting
n
Understanding of the principles of mental health recovery and demonstrated experience and skills in care planning and working collaboratively with consumers, families and carers.
n
Capacity to deliver educational groups to consumers, families and carers
n
