Job Description

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a hands-on Data Centre Technician to join our operations team and support the day-to-day management of critical infrastructure environments. This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with next-generation AI infrastructure and enterprise-grade hardware within a quick-paced, high-growth technology company.

What You'll Be Doing
n
n
Install, configure and maintain data centre hardware including servers, storage systems, networking equipment and racks
n
Perform structured cabling works across copper and fibre infrastructure to industry standards
n
Support rack and stack deployments, hardware upgrades, migrations and decommissioning activities
n
Monitor systems and respond to operational alerts, incidents and service requests
n
Troubleshoot hardware, connectivity and infrastructure-related issues
n
Support high-performance compute and AI infrastructure environments
n
Maintain accurate documentation including layouts, asset registers and operational procedures
n
Conduct routine inspections across power, cooling, airflow and physical infrastructure systems
n
Follow change management and operational governance processes aligned to ITIL practices
n
Work collaboratively with engineers, vendors and operational stakeholders to ensure service reliability and uptime
n

What We're Looking For
n
n
Proven experience working within live data centre or critical infrastructure environments
n
Strong hands-on knowledge of server hardware, structured cabling and networking concepts
n
Experience with fibre and copper cabling installation, testing and troubleshooting
n
Familiarity with switching, routing and enterprise infrastructure environments
n
Understanding of PDUs, UPS systems and cooling infrastructure
n
Strong problem-solving capability and ability to work independently
n
Excellent communication and documentation skills
n
Customer-focused mindset with strong attention to detail
n
Working knowledge of ITIL processes and service management principles
n
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA, ITIL or similar are highly regarded
n

Desirable Qualifications
n
n
CompTIA Server+, Network+ or similar infrastructure certifications
n
ITIL Foundation certification or exposure to structured IT service management environments
n
Experience working within enterprise, hyperscale or high-performance compute data centre environments
n
Exposure to DCIM tools, monitoring platforms or infrastructure management systems
n
Basic scripting or automation knowledge (e.g. PowerShell, Python) is advantageous
n
Experience supporting GPU infrastructure or AI-related compute environments will be highly regarded
