Role Type: Full-Time Contract through to 31st December **** (possible extension)

Location: Newcastle, Port Macquarie, Taree, Coffs Harbour, Gosford, Tamworth

Pay Rate: $***** per hour + super

Work Rights: Australian Citizenship required

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Develop, implement, and review reform policies, project documents, and corporate strategies related to the reform agenda.
n
Identify, build, and manage critical relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
n
Design and lead stakeholder engagement activities to guide project direction.
n
Analyze complex data and technical inputs to deliver sound policy recommendations.
n
Exercise judgement and expertise under limited direction to resolve complex and sensitive policy issues.
n
Prepare high-standard policy papers, reports, briefs, and correspondence for government audiences.
n

Skills & Experience Required
n
n
Qualifications:
A relevant bachelor degree is highly desirable or equivalent work experience in lieu of formal qualifications.
n
Policy & Strategy: Experience developing and implementing policy, analysing data and information, preparing and reviewing policy papers, reports, presentations, briefings and correspondence.
n
Analytical & Research: Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable recommendations.
n
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement: Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build productive working relationships, communicate information clearly, and incorporate feedback to achieve positive outcomes.
n
Agility & Independence: Ability to work autonomously under limited direction, exercise sound decision-making, and adapt to emerging priorities in a fast paced environment.
n
Desirable Experience: Background in disability sector reform, program/project governance, or complex government procurement within political contexts.
n
