Where you'll be working
n Join the newly established Forensic Mental Health Inpatient Service at Budyari Gamada, Blacktown Hospital, opening on 13 October ****. This current 20-bed Low Secure Forensic Mental Health Inpatient Unit is part of Mental Health Services within Western Sydney Local Health District and provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to a service being built for the future.

Working alongside existing services at Budyari Gamada and in partnership with the Forensic Mental Health Network, you'll become part of a team-oriented multidisciplinary team committed to safe, therapeutic and evidence-based care.

What you'll be doing
n As an Administration Officer Level 3 / Clinical Support Officer, you'll provide timely, accurate and responsive administrative support to the clinical team and contribute to the smooth day-to-day operation of the ward. Working under the direction of the Nurse/Unit Manager, you'll play an important role in keeping workforce, patient, equipment and administrative processes running efficiently.

Support the Nurse/Unit Manager with rostering, recruitment, leave, payroll and staff credentialing activities.
n
Provide accurate data entry and administrative support relating to patient care and clinical activities.
n
Assist with finance, quality, accreditation, incident management and reporting requirements.
n
Coordinate administrative activities relating to equipment, medical supplies and purchasing, helping ensure the ward is well equipped to meet service needs.
n
Provide administrative support for multidisciplinary meetings, including scheduling, documentation and follow-up of actions.

Holds or is willing to undertake a Certificate III in Health Administration
n
Excellent communication skills including accurate spelling, good comprehension, confidence in the spoken word and ability to deal confidently and courteously with people at all levels.
n
Demonstrated experience in word processing, spreadsheet and database software
n
Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
n
Capacity to work under broad supervision and to undertake a diverse range of tasks as an effective member of a team in a high-pressure, high-volume work environment
n
Experience with computerised rostering systems (HealthRoster).
