We're partnering with a highly regarded institutional investor to find a Vice President for their ANZ Real Assets team. The portfolio spans direct holdings across multiple sectors and cities - traditional segments including office, retail and industrial, alongside growing exposure to alternatives such as student accommodation, healthcare and multi-family.

The Chance

Join a sophisticated investment platform and help manage a large, diversified portfolio spanning sectors, regions and the capital stack. You'll play a hands-on role in driving performance and value creation across a scalable asset base.

What You'll Do
n
n
Manage assets and portfolios across multiple real asset sectors, spanning both traditional and alternative segments. Experience managing operating businesses and a track record of value realisation is highly valued.
n
Act as the key interface between the investor and management of operating entities, implementing strong governance frameworks and exerting board-level influence.
n
Develop and monitor business plans with partners and managers - covering revenue, costs, leasing, development, capex, ESG and financing - and hold management accountable to agreed targets.

Lead value-creation initiatives across the portfolio, including pricing optimisation, ancillary revenue growth, operational efficiencies and portfolio roll-up opportunities.

Drive divestment processes with a structured approach to capital recycling.

Partner with internal and external stakeholders on reporting requirements, including valuations, budgets and strategic business plans.

Monitor compliance and governance across portfolio companies and support corporate actions.
n
Identify industry trends and recommend asset management strategies to partners and external managers.
n
Build and maintain strong relationships across the investment ecosystem.

What You'll Bring
n
n
*****+ years of relevant asset management experience with a thorough understanding of the Australian real assets market. Self-storage sector experience is a plus.
n
A private equity background, with hands-on experience working with management teams to unlock and maximise value, is a distinct advantage.
n
Strong operational and commercial acumen - able to translate high-level investment thesis into concrete operational KPIs and business plan execution.
n
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication, with excellent financial and analytical capability.
n
Direct, current real estate asset management ownership not portfolio oversight or transaction-led coverage
n
Demonstrable opco / operating partner management track record
n
Candidates whose motivation is anchored in asset performance and value creation rather than front-office origination
n
Australian market depth at asset level (good to have)
