About the role
Provide expert clinical advice and specialist care coordination for patients with complex chronic pain needs, working collaboratively with patients, carers and multidisciplinary teams.
Lead triage, referral management and patient flow, acting as the primary point of contact for the Chronic Pain Service.
Coordinate and participate in outreach services to improve access to specialist pain care for rural,



vulnerable and Aboriginal communities.
Provide clinical leadership through service governance, quality improvement, research and evidence-based practice, supporting the ongoing development of the Chronic Pain Service.
Contribute to education, workforce development and strategic and operational planning to enhance the delivery and sustainability of specialist pain services.
About you
Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency
Minimum 5 years full-time equivalent post registration experience
Approved post registration nursing/midwifery qualifications relevant to the field in which he/she/they are appointed, or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by St Vincent's Hospital, Sydney
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within the interdisciplinary team using effective communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
Demonstrated evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking and analysis in their daily practice as a registered nurse
Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads within a complex environment
